Regably, conference registration platform

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Draft. This document is a placeholder pending legal review.

1. Who we are and our role

Regably provides conference registration software to event organizers. When you register for an event on Regably, the organization running that event (the organizer) decides what information is collected and why. Regably processes registrant data on behalf of the organizer to deliver the registration service.

For questions about how a specific event uses your information, the organizer is your primary contact. We can help you reach them, and we handle requests that relate to the platform itself.

2. Information we collect

Registration information

When you register for an event, we collect the information the organizer's registration form asks for, which may include:

  • Name and contact information (email, phone, address)
  • Professional information (organization, job title)
  • Dietary restrictions and accessibility needs
  • Emergency contact information
  • Payment information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers)

Technical information

  • IP address and browser information
  • Website usage data and analytics
  • Cookies and similar technologies

3. How information is used

Registrant information is used to deliver the registration service for the event you signed up for:

  • Registration: Processing your registration and payment
  • Event logistics: Badges, rosters, meals, and lodging where the event includes them
  • Communication: Confirmations, receipts, and event updates from the organizer
  • Safety: Emergency contact and accessibility needs, where collected
  • Networking: Attendee directories, where the event offers them and with your consent
  • Platform operation: Security, fraud prevention, and service improvement
  • Legal compliance: Meeting regulatory and legal requirements

4. Information sharing

With the organizer

The organizer of the event you register for has access to the registration information you submit. Their use of that information is governed by their own policies.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the platform:

  • Stripe, for payment processing (card details go directly to Stripe)
  • Supabase, for application hosting and data storage
  • An email delivery provider, for transactional email
  • Analytics providers, where enabled

Legal requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.

5. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information:

  • Encryption: All data transmission is encrypted using SSL/TLS
  • Access controls: Access to personal information is limited on a need-to-know basis
  • Secure storage: Data is stored on secure infrastructure with regular backups
  • Payment security: We do not store credit card numbers; payments are handled by Stripe
  • Review: Security measures are reviewed and updated over time

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information held about you
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal requirements)
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

Because registrant data is processed on behalf of event organizers, some requests may need to be fulfilled by or with the organizer. Contact us using the information below and we will route your request appropriately.

7. Cookies and tracking

Essential cookies are required for platform functionality and security, including signing in. Preference cookies remember settings you choose.

With your permission, we use two optional analytics services on selected public pages. Microsoft Clarity can produce behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replays from interactions such as clicks and scrolling. It also receives device and browser information and pseudonymous cookie identifiers. Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous, aggregate page views without using cookies.

  • We configure Clarity to mask all application text in recordings.
  • Optional analytics events are blocked on account, admin, member, payment, invite, confirmation, and token-bearing pages. They are also blocked on any URL that contains a query string.
  • Clarity uses the first-party cookies _clck and _clsk when analytics permission is granted. Advertising storage is always denied.

You can accept, decline, or revoke optional analytics at any time using the Cookie settings button. Revoking analytics stops new optional analytics events and removes Clarity's first-party identifiers from this site. We remember your choice in browser storage and may use a first-party preference cookie so a decline remains effective after the page reloads. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although some essential features may not work if all cookies are disabled.

For more information about how Microsoft handles data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Vercel explains its anonymous analytics data practices in its Web Analytics privacy documentation.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods for event registration data also depend on the organizer's requirements, such as accounting rules that apply to them.

9. Children's privacy

The platform is intended for adults and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
